Baker's Springs Wines
William Baker, the first to introduce sheep to the are, settled near Hermitage Creek in the Gilbert Valley in 1840. He watered his stock from the fresh water springs found on the property of Mr John Baker and was so grateful of this land and for the ust of the fresh spring water, that he named the village "Baker's Springs".
Baker's Springs Wines has drawn on this history, together with the terroir that has extensive terra-rossa, dry summers and mild climate, to produce wines that can be savoured now, or cellard for future enjoyment.
